The presentation includes 12 Community Projects that allow students to make a Global Connection.  Students will learn 21st Century skills, be prepared to meet the demands of the global community and engage them in mastering core curriculum skills.  Projects are models for driving education change and transforming educational institutions into model learning environments that cater to the broadest range of users and using collaboration tools. 
We need to provide the curriculum that will accomplish major objectives and support innovative teaching and learning. Learn how to start the conversation about using the new Web-based tools that allow us to communicate, collaborate, and create content.
Connections need to be "Global, and Authentic" and we must teach our students to be self-directed, design projects that include creative thinking and problem solving skills.   
You will be able to make a meaningful connection to the community. Using any of the following projects you will: Find ways to assist students to communicate with others worldwide; Learn to
expand their reach into the world; Learn how to integrate programs into the classrooms; Learn how to gain knowledge, skills, and strategies that are critical to individual use of digital information resources; Learn how to share your student projects globally.

Telling Your Story…Traveling The World

This session allows participants to understand teaching, learning, and assessment strategies for working with the digital generation by creating Visual Literacy Projects. Our goal is to help you interpret, use, appreciate, and create images and video using both conventional and 21st century media in ways that promote, advance thinking, decision-making, communication, and learning

Learn to use strategies that will appeal to the learning preferences and communication needs of digital learners?

Attendees will learn about multimedia communication with action and motion, and how to reinforce a variety of other skills, including critical thinking, literacy, interpersonal communication, collaboration, public speaking, composition, storytelling and group decision making. 

Participants will understand the  various strategies that can be used to optimize learning by the digital generation in the new digital landscape.  They will learn how to address learning standards, while at the same time, meeting both curricular goals and preparing students with the skills, knowledge and understandings above and beyond content recall necessary to meet the new realities of the 21st Century.
